Is a Boston Terrier Right For You?

House size:

As Boston Terriers are a relatively compact dog breed, you can get away with living in a small home or an apartment and owning a Boston Terrier. As long as you make the effort to take your pooch on daily walks in order to stretch their legs and to give them a chance to run around a dog-friendly park. Boston Terriers are also perfectly happy in large homes and are suitable for most homes.

Household:

If you live on your own or with a partner or friend, you’ll find that a Boston Terrier will fit into your family well as Boston Terriers prefer to keep close to their owners and will provide you with an adorable, companion. Who’ll follow you around your home. Alternatively, if you have a small family, it’s also worth considering adopting a Boston Terrier as they love children and are gentle and patient around young children. So if you’re searching for a suitable family pet, it’s still worth opting to adopt a Boston Terrier.

Lifestyle:

If you’re looking for a playful, fun loving dog you may be suited to adopting a Boston Terrier as they are known for their lively, spirited personalities. However, if you enjoy going for lengthy runs or long walks and want a highly active dog breed which will be able to accompany you on long runs or walks, you may want to adopt for a larger, more active dog breed. As a Boston Terrier may not be able to keep up with your lifestyle as they have small legs for their body frames.

If you’ve never owned a dog before and are searching for a dog breed which is naturally intelligent and obedient, you’re in luck as Boston Terriers are known for their intelligence and are relatively easy to train. So regardless of whether you grew up with family dogs or have never owned a dog in your life, you should have no trouble training a Boston Terrier.
